AAC Peer Supervision for SLTs

1st March 2021

We have been considering the idea of hosting a supervision group where SLT’s across the East Midlands can drop in to discuss AAC.

Now that we all seem fairly familiar with using an online platform such as TEAMS this gives us the opportunity to pilot how useful this would be to SLT’s out in local services.

We would like to pilot this by hosting a Teams call on 24th March from 3-4pm. We are thinking that SLT’s will either attend for the whole session or drop in for part of it depending on their availability.

Our thoughts are that the agenda would mainly be determined by yourselves based on areas of AAC you would like to cover but could have a theme for each call, for example, paper based resources, modelling, target setting, etc. You could bring a specific case to discuss that you would like support with, resources that have been working well within your team that you would like to share, or just questions that have arisen when you have been implementing AAC.

Any thoughts on content that would be useful to you all would be greatly received. We plan to feedback some key points from a project we have been working on looking at feature mapping of gridsets in this first session

I hope that you are able to join us for the pilot session on the 24th March by clicking on the link below.
