Digital Telephone Switchover - More Information

5th March 2024

Following on from BT's announcement that they will be moving from traditional, copper-wire landlines to their new internet-based Digital Voice service, the Government have announced plans for all of the UK's landlines to be replaced with a fully digital network. This means that old landline systems, including many of the assistive phones we have provided over the years, will need to be upgraded to the new digital network in order to keep working. This is nothing to worry about, it just means that some members of our team may be performing the relevant upgrades during maintenance visits throughout the next few years.

For more information on this nationwide upgrade, as well as some FAQs, please refer to the House of Commons'  publication on the switchover here.
